BAJA SAE (India) Organizes Automotive Design Training at IIST (View All News)
Over the years BAJA, an all terrain vehicle competition, being organized by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) has become very popular with engineering students. The event allows young enthusiasts an opportunity to design, fabricate and test the vehicle in a rugged track. To encourage the enterprising students BAJA is organizing design training at 10 locations all over India.
We feel privileged in announcing the fact that Indore Institute of Science & Technology has been selected as the only training center by BAJA in Central India. The event would be a six day affair and take place between 1st and 6th July 2013.
A total of 33 teams from engineering colleges of Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh are being trained in computerized design software such as ALTAIR, Pro E and Carsim by Mr. Apoorv Bapat, Senior Designer of Altair.
Mr. Akhand Pratap Singh, National BAJA Coordinator, during his inaugural address called upon the participating teams to seek clarifications of all their design queries from the expert panel of Altair, Pro E and Carsim. Dr. M S Murthy, Director, School of Engineering inaugurated the training programme while Prof K P Tiwari, Head of Mechanical engineering Department coordinated the show.
