SHAIL Foundation Day Celebrated with Great Fanfare and Gusto at SGI! (View All News)
Shail Group celebrated its 12th Foundation Day on 20th November 2013 at the sprawling campus of Shail Group of Institutions. The grand and ornate opening of the function commenced with invocation of Goddess Saraswati by lighting the lamp of wisdom.
Mr. Jay John read out the message of our Chairman, Shri Rohit Jainendra Jain, who could not attend the function due to urgent preoccupation. Chairman congratulated all members for successfully taking Shail Group of Institutions from a humble beginning to its present glory.
Discovering a dream is starting of evolution and growth. After completing his post graduation from Symbiosis Pune, Shri Rohit Jainendra Jain, our beloved Chairman, set out to realize his dream of creating centers of excellence in professional studies at Indore, the educational hub of Madhya Pradesh. Thus, in 2002, Shail Educational & Welfare Society (SEWS) was born.
Today the society manages six professional institutions, comprising of Indore Institute of Science & Technology, Indore Institute of Science & Technology (II), Indore Institute of Pharmacy, Indore Institute of Computer Application, Indore Institute of Management & Research and Indore Polytechnic which are redefining professional education in the state.
He also cautioned that this journey continues and way ahead will not be easy. A glimpse could be seen from very competitive present admission scenario. He (the Chairman) also insisted that it is time for us to gear up and take a vow to put our best foot forward to take SGI to greater heights. Dr. M. S. Murthy, Director School of Engineering, responded with all earnestness and reassured that Shail Family would be putting up all its might to make the vision of Chairman come true. A beautifully crafted film on "Journey of Excellence of SHAIL" brought back nostalgic memories of all.
Mr. Piyush Viyash gave a lucid audio visual presentation to highlight social issues like corruption, child labour, and female feticide. Mr. Rajesh Bhandari's satiric Malwi poem "Online Ka Zamana mein, rishta e-mail mein send hua hai. Laaj sharam gai chulhe mein, papabhi friend hua hai" drew huge applause. Pandit Rajesh Tiwari remembered his yester years and rendered a melodious song "Mere sapnon ki rani kab aayegi tu.". This immediately prompted Mr. Sanjay Sharma to sing "Nile nile ambar per chand jab aaye." In tune with the romantic environment, Ms. Pooja Sharma danced her way through "Nagare sang dhol baje". The next dance sequence was by Ms. Falguni and Meenakshi who did a jugalbandi of Bharatnatyam and Katthak.
The function was elegantly compared by Ms. Sanyogita and Priya. Ms. Margi Patel had the onerous task of coordinating the performances. Mr. Rishi Neema, our Event Manager, was the man behind the scene and managed everything smoothly. The gala Foundation Day celebration came to an end with delicious dinner and a well felt bonhomie.
